The Burnett Arms Hotel built around 1830 is situated on the main road from Aberdeen to Balmoral. This 3-star hotel offers free parking, on-site laundry facilities and a safe deposit box. Historic Facts about Burnett Arms
Queen Victoria’s Favorite Afternoon Tea Stop
During the journey to Balmoral, Queen Victoria would often call at The Burnett Arms for Afternoon tea, making it one of her favourite stopping places on the way to Balmoral.
Also, Queen Victoria stayed at hotel when it was a coaching inn, during those days the travel to Balmoral was by coach and horses.
Arms of the Duchess of Kent
Above the main entrance is a striking polychrome, three-dimensional armorial panel featuring the belted royal arms on the dexter side.
The arms have been identified as those of the Duchess of Kent, mother of Queen Victoria, adding a distinctive royal connection to the rich heritage of The Burnett Arms.
